Hell’s Kitchen fans think Cheyenne deserved to be eliminated

At the end of Episode 13 of “Hell’s Kitchen: Battle of the Ages” on January 26, the potholders came off Cheyenne Nichols and Dafne Mejia were nominated for elimination. The black-jacketed chefs, who both finished in the last five, blamed each other for the evening’s poor service. Gordon Ramsay finally decided it was time for Cheyenne to go, saying, “As the youngest chef in this competition, Cheyenne has come a long way. Unfortunately, the ride ends a few stops short of Atlantic City.”
We asked a recent poll if Gordon made the right decision, and fans agree the 21-year-old sous chef from Spencer, Ohio, deserves to be eliminated. Overall, 47% of fans agree with his choice. It’s no surprise that Dafne came second with 38% of the vote.
Here are the full poll results for the fans who should have been eliminated last week:
47% Cheyenne Nichols
38% Dafne Mejia
8th% summer seller
4% Alejandro Najar
3% Alex Belew
Cheyenne ended up in the bottom two with Dafne after forgetting to cook an order of scallops and appearing disoriented at dinner. At one point, her fish station literally burst into flames before Gordon insisted she “calm down” before endangering everyone in the kitchen. Eventually, the entire Fab 5 was kicked out of the kitchen for their “embarrassing” performance.

Confined to their dormitories, the black-jacketed chefs squabbled over who did the worst. In addition to Cheyenne’s apparent struggles in the fish station, Dafne was cited for a lack of communication Alex Belew was called for a raw steak. It just seemed like Alejandro Najar and summer seller were at eye level from afar. Still, it was a team failure and Cheyenne was seen as the weakest link.
