Former United States Champion reacts to being a huge part of the title’s legacy in WWE

WWE RAW star MVP has announced that he is proud to be part of the United States Championship lineage.

Montel Vontavious Porter is currently part of the RAW roster and appears to be attempting to reunite The Hurt Business. He has successfully recruited Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin back into the group and appears on the verge of convincing Bobby Lashley to accept his lead again.

Earlier today, MVP took to Twitter to respond to an article written about the US title’s lineage. The two-time United States Champion announced that he is proud to have held the title and be part of his lineage. The 49-year-old won the title in 2007 and 2009. MVP’s reign in 2007 lasted a remarkable 343 days before relinquishing the title to Matt Hardy at Backlash 2008.

“Proud to be a part of the US cover line and history!” tweeted MVP.

Former WWE writer wants Bobby Lashley to recruit new members for The Hurt Business

WWE veteran Vince Russo recently claimed that a The Hurt Business reunion could work if The All Mighty Bobby Lashley recruited new members for the group.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling Write with Russo, Vince said it made no sense for Bobby to join a faction with Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander since they rarely win games on TV. Russo suggested that The All Mighty bring in better talent for the WWE Universe to take seriously.

“I’m going to do what I’ve done every time I’ve written a wrestling show. I will put myself in Bobby Lashley’s shoes as I write this. ‘Oh, The Hurt Business. These guys lost about 40 matches in a row; let me work with you again.’ Who would do that, brother? If anything, recruit new guys. Find new young stallions. “It should have been The Hurt Business. These guys were all about them. These guys know it’s all about me.” But going back to the well, logically, doesn’t make sense,” said Vince Russo. [11:15 – 11:57]
