National high school top stars, best girls basketball performances of the week (Jan. 23-29)

Amani Abuhatab, West Haven, Connecticut
Abuhatab recorded 20 points and 21 rebounds in a 43-39 win over Sheehan.
Jerzy Bittle, Marion (Illinois)
Bittle accumulated 32 points as Marion defeated Centralia 50-35. In her next game, the senior added 36 goals in a 61-29 win over Meridian, breaking the school’s all-time record.
Zoe Brooks, St. John Vianney (New Jersey)
Brooks had 32 points, seven steals and six rebounds in a 71-34 win over Holmdel. The NC State five-star signee was also named a McDonald’s All-American last week.
Ellie Butler, Livingston Academy (Tennessee)
Butler scored 18 of their best 36 points in the game in the fourth quarter as Livingston Academy defeated DeKalb 70-53. The sophomore standout is averaging 19.1 points and 5.1 rebounds this season.
Hanelie Cadet, Avon (Massachusetts)
Cadet, a sophomore, led by 31 points as Avon defeated Randolph 63-20.
Aaliyah Chavez, Monterey, Texas
A game after scoring 45 points in a win over Cooper, Chavez nearly had a quadruple-double in a 79-25 win over Abilene. Chavez, a five-star sophomore point guard, had 24 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and eight steals against the Eagles.
Brihanna Crittendon, Riverdale Ridge, Colorado
Just a freshman, Crittendon had 42 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, four blocks and two steals in a 69-41 win over Severance. Crittendon is averaging 31.8 points and 9.3 rebounds this season.
Ally Hollifield, Shelby (North Carolina)
Hollifield filled the stats with 31 points, six rebounds and seven assists in a 61-51 win over Ashbrook. The Gardner-Webb signee is averaging 24.3 points, 9.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists this year.
Nicole Melious, Wagner (New York)
Melious is nearing 3,000 career points after scoring 33 in a 59-48 win over Francis Lewis. The senior guard is the nation’s top scorer with 43.6 points per game.
Jenna Muha, Shadow (Pennsylvania)
Muha became the fourth Somerset County basketball player to earn 2,000 career points in a 58-54 win over Blacklick Valley. The senior had 43 points in the win.
Devyn Quigley, Municipality of Manchester, New Jersey
Quigley dominated in Manchester Township’s 56-40 win over Lacy, finishing with 40 points and seven rebounds.
Gabby Kay Robinson, Corona Centennial (California)
Robinson buried a school record of 12 3-pointers and finished with 48 points in a 90-49 win over Norco.
Malia Ruud, Chiawana (Washington)
The 6-foot-2 sophomore post had 29 points in a 59-48 win over Walla Walla.
Taliah Scott, St. John’s Country Day (Florida)
Scott, who averages 37.3 points per game, had 40 points and 11 rebounds in a 70-29 win over Andrew Jackson.
Juju Watkins, Sierra Canyon (California)
Watkins notched a career-high 45 points — a new Sierra Canyon single-game record — along with 16 rebounds and eight assists in a 93-49 win over Bishop Alemany. The five-star USC signee was named a McDonald’s All-American last week.
