Murder, assault and evading arrest lowlight recent Jefferson County indictments – Port Arthur News

Murder, assault and evasion of arrest were the main charges brought by a Jefferson County grand jury last week.

• John Christopher Adcock, 41, of the Netherlands, has been charged with robbery in an April 23 incident.
• Felepe E. Arroyo, 34, of Beaumont, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, in an August 21 incident.
• Esteban Avalos Jr., 24, of Beaumont, has been charged with supplying a controlled substance, cocaine, for an October 28 incident.
• Donald R. Carrier Jr., 44, of Beaumont, was charged with robbery in a December 3 incident.
• Amy Carter, 39, of Beaumont, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, in a July 20 incident.
• Donte R. Burton, 43, of Beaumont, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon in a June 12 incident.
• Kaitlyn Ann Chance, 27, of Vidor, has been charged with aggravated assault in a January 30 incident.
• Dwayne Joseph Dempster, 23, of Des Allemands, Louisiana, has been charged with committing himself in an incident on March 7.
• Tracey B. Davis, 53, of Silsbee, was charged with evading vehicle arrest/detention in a September 5 incident.
• Orlando Montez Durgan, 42, of Port Neches, was charged with evading arrest/detention of a vehicle in a November 29 incident.
• Keith M. Garrett, 30, of Beaumont, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, in an August 10 incident.

• Seaver Kardell Gordon, 36, of Port Arthur, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon in an August 19 incident.
• Demarco Guillory, 23, of Port Arthur, was charged with possession of marijuana in a Feb. 20 incident.
• Mohamed Adel Jebokji, 29, of Groves has been charged with injuring a child in an incident on May 9, 2021.
• Bryon Keith Johnson, 23, of Beaumont, was charged with possession of marijuana in a March 15 incident.
• James Wilford Martin, 42, of Port Arthur, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, in a June 6 incident.
• Eugene Isidoro Martinez, 45, of Port Arthur, was charged with retaliation for a November 15 incident.

• Isaiah Fuentes, 51, a transient from Beaumont, has been charged with aggravated assault in a June 25 incident.
• Jaime Parada-Gonzales, 41, of Beaumont, was charged with aggravated assault in a November 22 incident.
• Khyler Nonette, 19, of Beaumont, was charged with evading arrest/use of a vehicle in a December 11 incident.
• Ikeyia Javea Roberts, 32, of Beaumont, was charged with improper teacher-pupil relationship in an incident on December 5.
• Brandon Antonio Rodriguez, 19, of Port Neches, has been charged with sexually assaulting a child in a May 31 incident.
• Kharin Lee White, 16, of Port Arthur, was charged with murder in a September 10 incident.

An indictment is not a final conviction; Only a grand jury verdict allows prosecutors to proceed with a criminal case.
