series at a glance
The Racers slipped in Murray last month with a 64-46 win at the CFSB Center in seven games against the Bruins. Belmont now leads the overall series 19-4 and 7-1 in Nashville games.
Exploring the Bruins
Belmont goes into Thursday’s matchup on a four-game winning streak with an overall record of 11-10 and a 7-3 mark in the Missouri Valley game.
Destinee Wells and Madison Bartley currently lead the Bruins with 16.4 and 13.3 points per game, respectively. On the boards, Tessa Miller pulls down 6.0 rebounds per game to lead Belmont while Bartley follows with 4.8.
Belmont is currently averaging 68.6 points per game on 41.6 percent shooting with 36.8 rebounds per game. Meanwhile, the Bruins’ opponents are averaging 66.6 points per game with 39.0 percent shooting and 38.9 rebounds per game.
A win would be…
A win on Sunday would put an end to a four-game slip for the Racers both overall and on the road.
On January 29th in Terre Haute, Macey Turley scored her 500th career assist and Alexis Burpo pulled down her 800th rebound. Turley is now only the third racer to reach 500 career assists, while Burpo is only the 8th racer to reach the 800 rebounds milestone.
