Today’s NBA Player Prop Bets (February 2, 2023)

Donovan Mitchell via 3.5 three-pointers (+122 on FanDuel)

Donovan Mitchell has come back to earth from the deep after the 71-point blast against the Bulls, but there are still plenty of reasons to like an over tonight.

Mitchell is averaging 3.1 threes on 10.5 attempts per game since this installment and has only surpassed that total twice, but this is a volume play. In two of the nine games since Mitchell, he played an unusual number of minutes because either he was injured or it was his first game back and had a blowout. When those games are taken out of the equation, Mitchell averages 3.6 threes on 11.6 tries. The percentage isn’t great, but the volume is there to make up for it in a Plus matchup.

The Cavs are receiving the Grizzlies, who have conceded the most three-point attempts and the third-most overall three-point attempts over the past two weeks. Mitchell has taken 93.2% of his three-pointers from above the break, and with his recent lack of shot efficiency, the Grizzlies should be hoping Mitchell takes a lot. Mitchell should be more inclined to make threes when Jaren Jackson Jr. is waiting in the back row as one of the best shot blockers in the entire NBA. With Desmond Bane unwilling to play back-to-back after his return to the lineup, Mitchell should be able to get what he wants – open shots behind the arc tonight.

risk: 1 unit on FanDuel to gain 1.22 units. (Playable up to -105)
