Billy Strings Adds Denver’s Mission Ballroom To Busy Spring Tour Schedule

Billy Strings added a one-time performance at Denver’s Mission Ballroom to his busy spring tour schedule. The show takes place on May 13, immediately following the bluegrass torchbearer’s two-day return Red Rocks Amphitheater on the 11th and 12th, which is already sold out.

“Looking ahead to spring…we were dying to have another night with that big ol’ Mission Ballroom disco ball,” Strings wrote in an announcement posted to social media.

FAIR AXES Registrations for tickets are now possible. Fans can also earn access to pre-sale tickets by donating a new or barely worn coat to Denver rescue mission at Strings’ second and third shows in Broomfield, CO this Friday and Saturday, February 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Donations can be dropped off on the north lot 1STBANK center.

Tonight String’s run at Broomfield begins with his first shows of the year. The three-night stand has already sold out, signaling the start of a busy tour for the bluegrass firebrand, with dates in the Rocky Mountains, East Coast, South, Midwest, Southwest, West Coast and Texas. Strings celebrated his arrival in Colorado last night by jamming along at his hotel Bella Fleck as Widespread panic‘s John bell listened. The casual jam session fueled speculation about special guests for Strings’ Broomfield run. With Fleck and Bell in town and Phil Lesh play in the Mission Ballroom with members of goose, Trey Anastasio Bandand the same weekend, the possibilities for cooperation seem promising.
