Who knew Albo was a fan of The Block? Prime Minister Anthony Albanese takes a selfie with Sharon Johal, the ‘villain’ of the Reno show
Anthony Albanese revealed on Tuesday that he’s a big fan of The Block when he stopped to take a selfie with last year’s contestant Sharon Johal.
The pair were spotted at the same event when the 59-year-old Prime Minister agreed to take a picture with the 35-year-old reality TV star.
Johal, who was dubbed a “bad guy” in the final season of the makeover show, was thrilled he’d followed suit and shared a few snaps on Instagram.

“Ting’s best friend. Important day,” she captioned the post, which also included video of the two chatting.
“Not just because the Australian Prime Minister wants to take a selfie with you, but what that means. Share soon.
“What could we talk about? Or what would YOU say to the Prime Minister of Australia if you met him?’

The former Neighbors star made headlines last year after she and husband Ankur Dogra faced online backlash and abuse over their “bad guy” on The Block.
Johal said the pair’s experience on The Block was “culturally unsafe” and they “naïvely” addressed it without understanding how “manipulative” reality TV can be.
The actress revealed 15 former contestants had reached out to her with messages of support and warned her to prepare for the inevitable abuse.

“When you attribute the word ‘cheater’ to a person of color, it’s like, ‘Oh these Indians are stealing our jobs, getting off our land,'” she said earlier this year.
“These people come and find you, they find your email address. You can find your family’s email address.
“They’re trying to soil you. They just won’t stop and it’s relentless.
