Parents Mad at Bossier School for Confiscating Winter Clothing

Parents of Airline High School students are upset by the fact that school officials confiscated students’ sweatshirts and coats on one of the coldest, wettest days of the year.

Social media posts slam school officials for leaving kids out in the cold.

Airline High School literally found it necessary to send the students home in this cold, rainy 30 degree weather without the jackets they left the house in!

NOW… IF A PARENT WOULD HAVE DONE THIS THEN CHILDREN WOULD BE CALLED?!??

EXCEPTIONS ARE ALWAYS MADE FROM THE RULES

YES..I know the dress code but in AUGUST..NOBODY and I mean really NOBODY could have predicted this weather and if so maybe the dress code should be revised when it comes to BAD WEATHER LIKE TODAY!!!

THE PERSONS THAT TAKEN THE JACKETS WEAR EXACTLY THE SAME TYPE OF CLOTHING THEY TAKEN AWAY!!

IT’S THE ARROGANCE TO ME… but I digress

ALL I TRYED TO OFFER SOME

TYPE OF RESOLUTION FOR ALL PARTIES BUT IF YOU HAVE SOME Admins insisting on doing this to the kids because of the rules…. yes it is NOT OK!!!

BY THE WAY…AUNTIE CADDO-BOSSIER & BEYOND ARE STILL AWAITING FOR A CALL BACK AFTER THEIR “MEETING”

I guess I’ll watch this full can of paint dry

But Bossier School officials said students and parents have been repeatedly warned that unauthorized clothing is not allowed in the school.

Airline CEO Justin James released the following statement in response to parental reactions.

“Dress code violations are a constant problem and in response it was announced on Tuesday that students who wore hoodies to school would take them with them. Hoodies have not been allowed on airlines for a number of years because they can pose a safety hazard and the majority of students who wear them have been warned beforehand. Was the time right to take her yesterday? Maybe not, but the school has provided sweatshirts in the past and continues to provide alternative outerwear. Parents can stop by Airline to pick up their child’s hoodie and some did at the end of school yesterday. Students can also pick up their outerwear today after school.

Also, 42 hoodies were taken yesterday; not hundreds, as unofficial reports suggest.

She also provided a link to Airline High School’s dress code.
