Where Top 50 California 2023 football recruits are expected to sign Wednesday

Most of The Class of 2023’s Golden State top 100 football recruits have already signed in the early days, December 21-23.
Just eight of 247Sports’ top 100 didn’t sign, including four-star Pittsburgh quarterback Jaden Rashada, who actually signed with the University of Florida but then asked for his release.
Here’s a list of the top 50 unsigned California seniors who are expected to sign Wednesday, the first day of the regular signing period, which lasts through April 1 for Division I players. Division II signers will also begin Wednesday, but will not be able to sign until August 1st.
(247Sports rankings are based on unsigned California players only)
1st QB Jaden Rashada, Pittsburgh, unsigned
Once a 5-star prospect, Rashada’s messy recruiting will eventually likely end up either at TCU, where he was visiting last weekend, or in Arizona state, where his father played and he was visiting days after being released from Florida.
2. CB Rodrick Pleasant, Serra-Gardena, without obligation
The fastest recruit in the class of 2023 — he broke California’s state record with a time of 10.14 seconds for the 100 meters — appears to be eyeing either USC or Oregon, two famous track and field schools.
3. TE Walker Lyons, Folsom, untied
Lyons, a one-time Stanford signing, could end up back with the Cardinal and new coach Troy Taylor, the former head coach. … Consequence. Georgia, Utah and USC are reportedly in the mix.
4. WR Taeshaun Lyons, Tennyson-Hayward, Washington
By all indications, the 6-foot-3, 180-pound standout will sign with the Huskies.
5. DL Cameron Brandt, Sierra Canyon-Chatsworth, Stanford
An education at Stanford is worth a lot, but so is an education in Michigan. Allegedly, Jim Harbaugh and his associates are trying to lure Brandt away.
6. ATH JeyQuan Smith, Cajon-San Bernadino, non-binding
The state’s 65th recruit overall, a 10.5-100-yard sprinter, has eight collegiate bids: Utah, Washington, Texas A&M, USF, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State and Washington State.
7. ATH Ethan O’Connor, Los Alamitos, UCLA
There is no indication that O’Connor left the Bruins, although he has made previous official visits to Colorado and Washington. His visit to Colorado came months before the Deion Sanders takeover.
8. S. Hunter Wiggins, Lincoln-San Diego, non-binding
It’s hard to say where Wiggins, a member of Lincoln’s state title team, will end up. Among its nine offerings: Arizona, Colorado, Fresno State, Minnesota and USC.
9. ATH Chris Snyder Jr., Mater Dei Catholic-Chula Vista, Cal Poly
He has offers from four Pac-12 schools, including Oregon and Pittsburgh, San Diego and Kansas, but Snyder committed to the Mustangs on Dec. 21.
10. DE Carson Mott, Simi Valley, Weber State
The 6-5, 240-pounder is the state’s No. 108 recruit. He signed with the Wildcats last week with 10 other reported offers including Cal, Colorado, Princeton, San Diego State and Washington State.
