Not only that, but the 38-year-old also revealed what was going through his mind immediately after the now-Prince and Princess of Wales became husband and wife.

Harry recalled it feeling like “one more goodbye” in his memoir (via Marie Claire). “The brother I escorted to Westminster Abbey that morning was gone – forever,” he wrote.
“Who could deny it? He would never be Willy first again,” Harry continued, referring to his nickname for William. “We would never again ride through the Lesotho countryside together with cloaks flapping behind us. We’d never share a horse-smelling cabin again while learning to fly. Who shall separate us? Life, that’s who.”

Walking up the aisle together after they exchanged vows marked a memorable moment at William and Kate’s royal wedding. They left Westminster Abbey in front of around 2,000 guests – and millions more watching at home – as husband and wife.
It was a bittersweet moment for Harry. Harry silently said goodbye to his older brother as he entered a new chapter in his life.
“I remember Willy taking her for a walk [Kate] back down the aisle,” he wrote spare part. “And as they walked out the door, into the carriage that would take them to Buckingham Palace, into the eternal partnership they had promised, I remember thinking, goodbye.”
William and Kate will be married for 12 years on their wedding anniversary on April 29th.

First in a brief chapter on William and Kate’s wedding, and again when reminiscing about his own wedding, Harry mentions that he is not William’s best man. Harry explains in his memoir that his older brother made two of his friends groomsmen before the palace later claimed – in a “blatant lie” – that Harry was given the duties.
Harry later recalled how William canceled drinks with him and his friends “at the last minute” on the eve of his wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018.
“I was wondering what’s really going on,” Harry recalled when William reportedly canceled (via Harper’s Bazaar). “Did he feel bad about not being my best man? Was he upset that I asked my old pal Charlie?”
“The palace spread the story that Willy was the best man, as they did to me when he and Kate got married,” Harry added in parentheses. “Could that be part of it?” he concluded.
