The 10 Best Public High Schools Ranked In North Dakota For 2023

I still get those butterflies in my stomach when I think about school. I’m not sure what it is, but you just never forget those feelings when you were young.

Well, I haven’t been to school for a lot longer than I’d like to admit myself. Maybe I was a weird kid, but my anxiety still seems to take it up a notch when I started thinking about that first day of school. I can still hear the first bell of the school year ringing in my head.

Our friends at Niche ranked the best North Dakota public high schools in the state for 2023. Their results are based on student and parent ratings, academic and student life data from the US Department of Education, and test scores and college data. Only one of our schools in the Bismarck Mandan area made the top 10.

However, five schools from the region made the top 25, including:

#11 Hazen High School – Moved up from #13 in 2022.

#15 Strasbourg – Stable from 2022.

#17 Linton High School – Moved up from #20 in 2022.

#18 Bismarck High School – down from #17 in 2022.

#23 Glen Ullin High School – New entry for 2023.
